The Clios

Redesigning ClioAwards.com was an exciting opportunity to reimagine a platform that’s already a cornerstone for its diverse audience. The goal wasn’t just to refresh the re-design—it was to introduce new features and create a more seamless, user-friendly experience for everyone.

Clios.com is a huge platform serving diverse user groups. We kicked off the project with branding, presenting a range of color palettes and typefaces that perfectly aligned with the client’s preferences.

From there, we outlined the project scope and features, diving into wireframes, mockups, and ultimately guiding the development team and interaction specs.

All of this was accomplished in just a few months, making it an intense, fast-paced, and rewarding challenge. It’s a project I’m incredibly proud to have led.

Background

ClioAwards.com is at the heart of Clio’s mission to honor creativity and innovation across industries. The website brings together everything the Clio community needs—browsing winners, showcasing jurors, learning how to enter competitions, and staying updated on announcements, deadlines, and events. It also provides a space for engagement through features like sponsorship opportunities, the nomination of jurors, and the ability to explore Clio’s verticals: Awards, Entertainment, Health, Music, and Sports.

With its expansive scope, the platform serves a wide range of users, from advertising professionals and creative directors to students and competition administrators. A central priority of the redesign was to ensure the site could handle its large-scale content and diverse audience needs while remaining intuitive, easy to navigate, visually engaging, and mobile-friendly.
